We are ‘StoryProps’ and you are ‘the customer’. By using this website you agree to these terms and conditions.
You promise all details you give us and proper and correct and we promise to provide you with what you ordered and paid for.
We only accept payments via PayPal, you should have enough money to pay for your order.

*StoryProps in Action Sessions * 
Cancellation of Booking -  We ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you wish to cancel a booking.
If you cancel  up to 14 days before the course starting, we will refund your fee minus a £5 administration charge. 
If you cancel within 14  - 5 days of the course starting, We will refund 50% of the course fee
If you cancel within 5 days of the course starting, no refund will be made. 
'No shows' and non attendance - no refund will be made

Due to the products being hand painted there may be slight variations from the images shown. 
Turnaround Time - We mostly work on a made-to-order basis. This is due to having so many designs, being a small business and wanting to provide each and every customer with exactly what they want. 
Our hand painted products have a standard turnaround time of 21 Days, however they will be made and shipped as quickly as is possible.
Printed Products will be shipped within 7 days.

Delivery -We only ship within the UK and Ireland. 
Orders under £30 will be shipped via Royal Mail 2nd class. Orders over £30 will be sent via Royal Mail 1st class tracked and so should arrived about 1-2 days after dispatch. 
If you leave your email address, we will use it to inform you when your order has been dispatched. 
Please let us know if you do not receive your parcel within 3 days of your dispatch email. In the unfortunate event that an item goes missing in the post, Royal Mail have a procedure in place which we are obliged to adhere to in all cases and we have no power to over-ride this. Please bear with us during this process and we will update you at every opportunity and do our best to resolve it as quick as we can.
Your parcel will be shipped to the address that you provide us with at the checkout. We accept no responsibility for any errors made during this process.
Returns - As our items are made to order, we would hope that there are no times when you should need to return your items. 
All of our items are well wrapped and packaged carefully so should always arrive to you in perfect condition. If you do need to return anything to us then please get in touch with us directly via the ‘contact us’ form on the website or FaceBook/ Instagram Direct messages. Customers are responsible for covering return postage costs, and initial delivery costs will not be refunded in any case.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, any item bought online can be returned for a full refund within 14 days of the customer receiving their order and unless faulty, must be in their perfect, original condition with tags attached and original packaging. Once we have received and inspected your returned item, we will notify you if the refund will be approved or rejected, and the reasons why. If the refund is approved, we will issue your refund via the original payment method. If the refund is rejected, we will send the items back to you for an additional postage fee which the customer must cover.
There are exceptions to the returns policy. Exceptions include Personalised and Tailor-Made products, which include custom orders and any changes to original designs. These can only be returned if they are faulty. 
Exchanges - Exchanges are not encouraged as each item is made - to - order, however, if you have bought a non-personalised product from us and wish to exchange it, then you are required to meet the costs of additional postage for returning the original item to us and for us to send the new item out to you. The new item will be sent once it has been handmade (max 21 days turnaround time), postage has been paid, and we have received and inspected the original item.
Exchanges are not permitted on Personalised and Tailor-Made products so customers are advised to contact us prior to placing the order in the event of any queries. Please see Returns Policy above.

General Data Protection Regulation Policy (GDPR)


1.1 What data does StoryProps collect?
FOR StoryProps In Action session bookings - We collect the following information from you - Your Name | Your email address | Your child's first name | Your child's age | Any allergies we should be aware of. (We often use food based materials in our sessions, such as porridge, flour etc.)

FOR Hand Painted StoryProps - When an order is placed via facebook, instagram, email, ETSY or via our website we ask for the following information in order to invoice for payment,  process your items and dispatch them to you;
Full Name
Email Address (for paypal invoices and dispatch emails) 

1.2 How do we collect this data?
This data is supplied to StoryProps at the checkout process on ETSY.com, during the ordering process on our website and during private message discussions on Facebook and Instagram. We receive the details you select at the time of ordering. Information is then stored in the original location, so we can dispatch your parcel to the correct address. We do not copy your address to any other location. 
We will also receive an email from PayPal or ETSY confirming a purchase has been made and the address you have requested we send the items to.

1.3 Why do we collect this data?
We require your Full Name & Address so that we can send your parcel to the correct place of residence once it has been completed. We also ask for your email address, so we can get in touch with you should there be a problem or to send PayPal invoices & dispatch emails. 

1.4 When do I give you my Consent?
When you provide us with your personal information during the purchasing process, we automatically assume you agree to us collecting it and using it for the purpose of completing your transaction. If we require to use your personal information for a reason other than completing your transaction, we will contact you directly to ask your permission. If you do opt-in but later change your mind, you can let us know by emailing: storypropsbysian@gmail.com

1.5 Do we share your data?
Your data is not shared with or sold to any outside individuals.
We share your Full Name & Delivery Address with Royal Mail on the parcel. This is so your parcel can be delivered to you.

1.6 Disclosure of Information.
We may be forced by law to disclose your personal information, for reasons such as a court case. This is out with our control and overrides our privacy policy.


2.1 Marketing i.e. Social Media
We only use email addresses for marketing purposes if you sign up to our newsletter / blog. We will never send marketing emails if you have not signed up. 
All other marketing will be done via public view social media i.e. Facebook, Facebook Groups, Instagram, Pinterest. 


3.1 Data stored digitally
This website uses tracking software to monitor its visitors to better understand how they use it. The software will save a cookie to your computers hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the website, but will not store, save or collect personal information.
The address information collected during the checkout process is stored in the original location. i.e. Facebook Private Messages , ETSY, website ordering system. 
Your name will be copied to a personal Google Drive account document to allow us to keep a record of orders to meet CE testing guidelines and to track orders. The Google Drive account is password protected. 
Devices in our possession that have access to our Google Drive are as follows;
iMac – Password Protected
Personal iPhone – PIN Security, Fingerprint Authentication

3.2 Data stored as a hard copy
We do not print any documents with your information present other than the Shipping order page produced by ETSY for ETSY orders and the Shipping Order page for website orders. Second copies are not produced.

4.1 Parents are welcome to take photographs and videos of their own children in the sessions. We ask that you ensure this is for your own use and other children are not posted on Social Media. 
4.2 Please be aware that some of our venues may have their own Video and Photography policy which would over rule the StoryProps one. 

4.3 You will be asked at the beginning of all StoryProps sessions to tick whether you agree for us to take photographs. The purpose being for us to use them for future marketing. You have the right to refuse this. You have the right to ask for faces to be blurred. If you request faces blurred, the original photograph will be deleted and the blurred one will be saved on a mobile phone with fingerprint recognition. Children's names will NEVER be used alongside their photographs on Social Media or our website. 


5.1 Requesting a copy of your data we hold
You can request a copy of all the data we currently hold on file for you. We are legally required to provide this to you free of charge and within a month of the original request.

5.2 Requesting we delete all your data we hold
The process - If you want us to delete all the information we have on file we are legally required to do so should you request it.
